Behind The Scenes

A quick glimpse of how our items are made.

Next...

As we use natural leather to start with, this enables us to offer you a choice of many different colours.

We used a spirit based dye on our products, which is applied individually by hand.  Each item is then left for 6 - 12 hours to dry, before being rubbed down and polished with a good quality wax to seal the finish.

And Finally...

Once the product has been dyed & polished it's time to put it all together.  Most of our items are either thonged with leather lacing or hand stitched, using a double needle technique.  The thread we use has a break point of 35lbs, so it very secure.  We also only use heavy duty fittings (eg buckles, Dee rings), which is why we are confident about the durability of our products.

Starting off...

All our products start life as a single shoulder of high quality, natural British Vegetable tanned leather.

Each item is individually cut out by hand and embossed using basic hand tools.
